A family-run retail plant nursery situated in the picturesque valley of the river Ore in Hacheston just outside Framlingham, where the focus is on homegrown plants, coupled with a knowledgeable and friendly team. Established in 1994, it has grown from a small shed to a garden centre, farm shop, café, gift area and 5 pitch caravan site with electric hook-ups.

Historic manor house, positioned in open Suffolk countryside and a haven of peace and birdsong, offering 3 beautiful and hugely characterful rooms for overnight stays (sorry, no children under 12). Set in an award-winning two acre garden, designed by artists Timothy and Christine Easton (and featured in Country Life and several books). Timothy’s paintings made around the garden and with views through the distinctive windows in various rooms, are well known through cards, prints and books. They also hang on the walls around the house. He has a north-facing studio in the garden, but guests may roam the garden and enjoy its little buildings and seating.

It’s a 20th century modern space with a ground floor main double bedroom, kitchen area, shower room and first floor living / chill area with a single bed for a third guest (ideal for a teenager).  BT fast broadband. Independent heating. Guest parking for one car. Welcoming owners like to interact with guests and help out with any questions or advice on restaurants and places to visit.

Courtyard Cottage is a traditional Victorian cottage which sleeps four (one double and two single beds) and is ideally located close to Framlingham town centre and its numerous attractions. Tastefully modernised and still retaining much character, it is extremely well equipped and comfortable.

Home from home comfort and a beautiful view of Framlingham Castle – just a three minute walk from Fram town centre. Castleview has two delightfully furnished double rooms, both with ensuite, TV, WiFi , tea and coffee making facilities and fridge. Breakfast is served with a castle view and features a good menu with locally sourced produce including the free range bantam eggs from the owner’s own hens. Off road parking and a safe place for bicycles overnight. The owner is happy to loan their two adult bikes with helmets for anyone wishing to explore the countryside – as well as paris of wellies for a relaxing walk around the Mere!

An inspired rural venue championing local produce just a few miles from Framlingham, offering camping and cooking outdoor adventures, including summer Tipi Dining (Saturday suppers and Sunday Brunch Café), woodfire cooking workshops and all sorts of fascinating and fun special events. Venue also bookable for private events. Camping options include Meadow Pitches for tents and set-up Safari Tents, all supported by a Campers Barn with all the regular shower/ WC facilities plus a coffee corner, little shop and space for rainy day activities.

Barn Cottage (minimum 3-night stay) is situated just a very short walk from the Castle meadows in Framlingham. The cottage sleeps four in two large bedrooms (one double, one twin). There is a large open-plan living and dining area, fitted kitchen, two shower rooms and a large garden with plenty of parking space.

Station Terrace is situated just a short walk away from Framlingham’s shops, amenities and castle and very close to The Station pub for delicious food, local ales and wood fired pizza. Only a 30 minute drive from the Suffolk Heritage Coast with popular seaside towns Aldeburgh and Southwold that are definitely worth visiting for a day out at the beach.

The  adjacent meadow has two separate shepherd hut lets (see Thyme & Sage Shepherd Huts).  Choose from the charming Victorian Farmhouse (4 bedrooms) with many of original features; The Hayloft (2 bedrooms); the Cart Lodge (1 bedroom) with wonderful views across the fields. All accommodation is set well back from the Saxtead to Framlingham road. Great for walkers – public footpaths and bridleways nearby in abundance.
