State-of-the-art community hall facility in the heart of Framlingham, in close proximity of both Framlingham Castle and Market Hill. Large hall with vaulted ceiling, meeting room (and kitchen) facilities available for community use, private and commercial functions. Regular venue for club meetings, fitness and wellbeing sessions, music, dance, workshops, events, exhibitions, sales and craft fairs. This venue replaced the old St Michael’s Rooms, famed for its role as Danebury Village Hall in BBC TV’s, The Detectorists, which starred Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones.  

A creative re-invention of Framlingham’s old Con Club (social club), home to rooms for short hire, exhibition space, creative studios and a youth club, as well as the popular Common Room Café. The Theatre (aka the Assembly Hall) now reunited with the property, provides an additional extensive arts space. Facilities available for hire at No. 10 include the ‘Corner Room’ exhibition, pop-up retail, events or workshops space; the ‘Print Room’ and studios for creatives.

Standing on a very historic spot at the entrance to Framlingham Castle, The Castle Inn is wonderfully located – a place to refresh, reflect and drink in the history. Beers include local Adnams Ales and Aspall Ciders, plus guest beers. There’s a tempting menu, welcoming atmosphere and live sport for those who just can’t miss that match! Function room for meetings / parties (up to 20-30 people). Child-friendly and dog-friendly.

A traditional, family-run and dog-friendly pub with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, serving real ales and all the regular favourites. Look out for frequent event nights and visiting food truck nights, from local fish and chips to more exotic foodie treats. As well as the large beer garden, complete with garden bar and Pétanque pitch, there’s a games room with live sport, pool table and darts. Function rooms for private hire also available. Framlingham Technology Centre provides office and workspace solutions for an array of businesses from technology and innovation-driven companies to creative and design-based business. It offers flexible office spaces, co working areas, and meeting rooms for business across East Suffolk. The centre provides a collaborative environment designed to foster innovation, networking and growth for startups and established business alike.

The Theatre (aka the Assembly Hall)  is an extensive space for art exhibitions and installations, workshops and performances, and creative social occasions such as dances, readings and music. The space (formerly an antiques centre) has been recently reunited with 10 Church Street in a clever re-invention of Framlingham’s old Con Club (social club). Like the corner room also within the creative complex, it is popularly used as a gallery and exhibition space.

A light, bright and inviting upstairs space that’s a thriving space ideal for sharing exhibitions of work, meetings and more, located above Framlingham Library in one of Framlingham’s lesser known historic buildings. The space is available for hire and home to pop-up artist and community exhibitions with increasing regularity. Ed Sheeran has even shown and sold his paintings here!      

Friendly lending library at the heart of the community with free wifi, bookable computer time, printing and photocopying facilities available. Comfortable and welcoming venue for a broad array of regular (free) clubs and meet-up groups across a wide range of ages and interests, plus drop-in sessions and school holiday themed activities.
